Authority in Word and Action

Series Sermon #5: In this text, Jesus demonstrates his authority in teaching and healing. He begins his ministry in the synagogue and not only astounds those present with the nature of his teaching, but also with the way he helps a demon-possessed man. Later, that same day, Jesus heals Peter's mother-in-law, demonstrating his authority over disease as well.
